OpenAPI spec and request ids

• The API is described as OpenAPI 3.1 at https://www.postel.app/api/v1/openapi.json.
• Every response has an X-Request-Id header, and error bodies carry it as requestId. See Request IDs.

Public API v1

The first public version of the Postel API.

• Posts: list, get, create, schedule and publish, with threads, media URLs and LinkedIn first comments.
• POST /v1/posts/generate writes a post in your voice.
• GET /v1/channels and GET /v1/me.
• GET /v1/events for polling post.published, post.failed, draft.ready and viral.new.
• Idempotency-Key support on the endpoints that create posts.

Viral posts

• GET /v1/viral/posts and GET /v1/viral/posts/{id} search Postel's library of posts and videos that took off.
• GET /v1/viral/formats lists the formats they keep using.
• POST /v1/viral/takes writes your own take on one, in your voice.
