Threads Scheduler and Threads MCP Server

Postel can't schedule Threads posts yet. The connection is built and submitted to Meta's App Review; once Meta approves it, you can schedule single posts, threads and carousels from Postel's calendar or from Claude.

  • ThreadsComing soon

Postel already posts to these today. Threads joins the same calendar once Meta approves Postel's app.

What Postel will post to Threads

  • Text posts. Up to 500 characters. Threads counts each emoji by its bytes (usually 4), so emoji-heavy posts fill up sooner.
  • Multi-post threads. Several posts in a row, each published as a reply to the one before.
  • Carousels. Up to 20 photos or videos in one post. Photos JPEG or PNG up to 8 MB, videos MP4 or MOV up to 1 GB and 5 minutes.
  • One calendar. Write the Threads text next to the same post's text for your other networks and schedule them together.

What it won't do at launch

  • Threads analytics. They need a second Meta review, which Postel files once publishing is approved.
  • Topic tags and reply controls. Set them in the Threads app after the post is live.
  • AI planning. For You, Plan next week and post templates cover X and LinkedIn only for now. Write Threads posts in the composer, or ask Claude to.
  • An inbox. Postel publishes. It doesn't read replies or mentions.
  • Meta's limit. Threads allows 250 posts a day per account. If you reach it, Postel says so and tries again later.

Scheduling Threads posts from Claude once it's approved

Add Postel's MCP server to Claude today from Claude's connector directory, or add https://www.postel.app/api/mcp as a custom connector, and use it on the networks Postel posts to today. Once Meta approves Postel's app, connect Threads under Settings > Channels and the same connector can post there.

Sources, checked Oct 29, 2026: Buffer (pricing, Claude guide) · Typefully (pricing, changelog) · Hypefury (features and pricing). "Not listed" means we couldn't find it on the vendor's own pages, not that it doesn't exist.

Who it's for

A good fit if you already post to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky or Mastodon and want Threads in the same calendar, or you'd rather ask Claude to post than open another app.

Not a fit if you need Threads today (Buffer, Typefully and Hypefury all list it), Threads analytics or a replies inbox.

Use Postel on X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon while you wait

Postel learns how you write, drafts your LinkedIn and X posts in that voice, and schedules them from one calendar.

Frequently asked questions

Updated Oct 29, 2026.

Can Postel schedule Threads posts today?

No, not as of Oct 29, 2026. The Threads connection is waiting on Meta's App Review, and Meta sets the timeline, so there's no launch date. Until then, Postel posts to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon. Leave your email and we'll email you when it's live.

Can I schedule a thread, not just one post?

After approval, yes. Each part publishes as a reply to the one before, the way Threads shows a thread.

How long can a Threads post be?

500 characters per post.

Will Postel show Threads analytics?

Not at launch. Insights need a second Meta review, which Postel applies for after publishing is approved.

What does it cost?

Plans start at $29 a month, and Starter and Pro begin with a $1 seven-day trial. Every plan connects every live network, with no charge per network.
