Can Claude Connect to LinkedIn?
Yes, through a connector. Claude supports custom connectors built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and a connector can give Claude tools such as "draft a post" or "schedule a post".
Three things are worth knowing before you start:
- There is no connector from LinkedIn itself. Searching Claude's connector directory for LinkedIn returns third-party tools, mostly ad analytics and social schedulers (checked October 2026).
- What Claude can do depends on the connector. A publishing connector lets Claude write and schedule your posts. It does not let Claude read your feed or message people.
- Be careful with scraping connectors. Some LinkedIn MCP servers work by driving your logged-in browser session. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits automated access, and the authors of those tools warn that accounts can be restricted.
Postel's connector publishes through LinkedIn's official API, with the permission you grant on LinkedIn's consent screen.

How to Connect Claude to LinkedIn
Step 1: Create a Postel account and connect LinkedIn
Sign up for Postel, open Settings > Channels and connect your LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn asks you to approve the connection.
Step 2: Add Postel as a custom connector in Claude
In Claude, open Customize > Connectors, click the plus button and choose "Add custom connector". Enter https://www.postel.app/api/mcp as the server URL and click Add.
Step 3: Sign in to Postel from Claude
Click Connect on the new connector. A Postel sign-in window opens. Approve access and the connector is ready.
Step 4: Turn the connector on in a chat
In a chat, click the plus button at the lower left, open Connectors and switch Postel on.
Step 5: Ask Claude for a LinkedIn post
Ask Claude to draft a LinkedIn post. Claude calls Postel, which writes the draft in your voice and saves it. Review it, ask for changes, then tell Claude when to schedule it.
Which Claude Plans Can Add a Connector?
Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. The free plan is limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors, and members then connect to it from Customize > Connectors. See Anthropic's guide to custom connectors.
Connect LinkedIn in Claude Code
If you work in the terminal, one command adds the same server:
claude mcp add --transport http postel https://www.postel.app/api/mcp
Run /mcp in a Claude Code session and finish the sign-in in your browser. To make the server available in every project, add --scope user.
You can also authenticate with an API key instead of signing in:
claude mcp add --transport http postel https://www.postel.app/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer pstl_YOUR_API_KEY"
Create the key in Postel under Settings > API Keys.
What to Ask Claude
- "Draft a LinkedIn post about what I learned hiring our first engineer."
- "Make the opening two lines stronger and cut it to 1,000 characters."
- "Turn these meeting notes into a LinkedIn post: [paste notes]."
- "What do I have scheduled on LinkedIn next week?"
- "Schedule this for Wednesday at 8:30am London time."
Claude asks for your approval before it runs a tool that schedules or publishes, unless you have chosen to always allow it.

| Publish a post right away | Yes, on a paid plan or trial |
| See your drafts and scheduled posts | Yes |
| Add images, a video or a document | In the Postel editor, not from Claude |

Why Use a Connector Instead of Copy and Paste?
You can always ask Claude for a post and paste it into LinkedIn. A connector adds three things:
- Your voice. Postel builds a voice profile from a public LinkedIn profile and uses your knowledge base, so drafts start closer to how you write.
- Scheduling. The post lands in your content calendar at the time you chose, next to your X posts.
- One place for everything. Drafts made in Claude show up in Postel, where you can add media or a first comment before they go out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Claude have an official LinkedIn connector?
No connector from LinkedIn itself is listed in Claude's connector directory as of October 2026. The LinkedIn-related connectors there are third-party tools. You can add any remote MCP server, including Postel's, as a custom connector.
Can Claude post to LinkedIn automatically?
Claude can schedule and publish LinkedIn posts through a connector with publishing access, such as Postel. By default Claude asks you to approve each tool call that schedules or publishes.
Is it safe to connect Claude to my LinkedIn account?
With Postel, Claude never gets your LinkedIn password or cookies. Postel publishes through LinkedIn's official API using the permission you grant on LinkedIn's consent screen, and you can revoke it at any time in your LinkedIn settings.
Can Claude read my LinkedIn messages or feed?
Not through Postel. The connector covers writing, scheduling and publishing your own posts.
Does this work with ChatGPT or Cursor too?
Postel's server works with any MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth or a bearer token. The LinkedIn MCP server page has setup notes for Cursor and VS Code.
Do I need a paid Postel plan?
Drafting works within the free quota. Scheduling and publishing need a paid plan or the 7-day trial.
