Scripe alternative: Postel vs Scripe

Postel is the better Scripe alternative if you post as yourself on LinkedIn and X and want next week's posts written in your voice in one go, at a price set for one person. Scripe is the better fit if a B2B team runs several LinkedIn profiles and company pages and needs approvals, team engagement, tracked links and a content strategy tied to pipeline.

Scripe facts from scripe.io, its pricing page and its docs, checked on October 30, 2026. Scripe prices are in euros before VAT; Postel's are in US dollars. "Not listed" means the vendor's site doesn't mention it, not that it's missing.

Both learn your voice, and both can plan and draft a stretch of posts. The difference is who they're for: Scripe is a LinkedIn content system for companies, priced per profile. Postel is a writing tool for one person who posts on X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon.

What is Scripe?

Scripe is a content tool from Berlin for B2B teams. Its scheduling page says it is "LinkedIn-first today, by design", and its homepage says more than 1,200 companies run LinkedIn on Scripe.

  • Voice. It reads up to 20 of your LinkedIn posts from the last year, picked by reach, and you can add writing samples, also from other creators. Tone settings cover English or German, with a choice of du or Sie.
  • Knowledge. A shared knowledge base fills from your website, files, YouTube, Notion, Granola, Google Drive and GitHub. Voice memos sent on WhatsApp become ideas.
  • Strategy. Each post has a job, Reach, Trust or Convert, and Scripe sets the mix per profile.
  • Ideas and drafts. In the app, "For you" lists post ideas from your topics, followed sources and files; topic ideas refresh every 14 days. You place ideas into your calendar slots and Scripe drafts each post. Through the MCP server, an assistant like Claude can plan a period and have Scripe draft all of its posts.
  • Media. Carousels, image formats and AI photos of yourself on every plan.
  • Teams. Approvals, company pages, automatic first likes and comments from colleagues and team analytics from Advanced; campaigns and roles on Business.
  • Agents. An MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients, with read-only or full access, and a REST API in public preview.

Prices are in euros before VAT, and Scripe sells to businesses only. Yearly billing saves 20%, and Enterprise is available on request. The free trial needs a credit card; Scripe shows its length when you start it. AI use has a weekly allowance that resets every Monday.

What that means in practice

  • One person, one profile, month to month: Scripe Solo is €69 a month before VAT. Postel Starter is $29, and Pro, which writes your week for you, $49.
  • The same, billed yearly: Scripe Solo is €660 a year before VAT. Postel Starter is $228 a year and Pro $348.
  • A team with four LinkedIn profiles: Scripe Advanced is €214 a month billed yearly (€79 plus three extra profiles at €45). Postel isn't built for this: each Postel brand belongs to one person, so four people would need four plans. Here Scripe is the better buy.

Where Postel is the better fit

You post on X as well as LinkedIn

Postel publishes to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon from one calendar. LinkedIn company Pages, Instagram, Threads and YouTube are coming soon (submitted for review). Write for one network and adapt the post for the other: a thread becomes a LinkedIn post, and each version is edited and scheduled on its own. Scripe's product pages and docs list no network to publish to besides LinkedIn.

You want the whole week written in one go

In Scripe's app, you place ideas into slots and draft each post from one; drafting a whole period at once runs through an AI assistant connected to its MCP server. In Postel it's a button. On Pro and up, Plan next week fills the free posting slots of the next 7, 14 or 28 days with finished X and LinkedIn posts built from your own material. You check the plan before Postel writes it. The drafts wait in For You, where you schedule, edit or skip each one. Turn on automatic scheduling and they go straight into their slots instead.

You're one person on a smaller budget

Postel is priced for one person, month to month, with a 7-day trial for $1 on Starter and Pro. Scripe Solo is €69 a month before VAT and is sold to businesses only.

You want to bring your own AI key

On Pro and up, Postel can run on your own Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter key. That usage bills to your provider and costs no Postel credits. Scripe doesn't list bring-your-own-key.

Where Scripe is the better fit

  • Several LinkedIn profiles. Scripe is built around a workspace with many profiles, unlimited users from Advanced, and colleagues who like and comment on each other's posts. Postel has 1 seat on Starter, 3 on Pro and 5 on Team, and one person's accounts per brand.
  • Company pages today. Postel's company Page support is submitted to LinkedIn and coming soon; Scripe posts to pages now.
  • Proof of revenue. Tracked links, campaigns and Reach, Trust and Convert reporting help a marketing lead show what LinkedIn brings in. Postel has none of these.
  • More ways to feed it. Granola, Google Drive, Notion and GitHub sync, website scans, WhatsApp voice memos and an iPhone app. Postel works from what you save, paste or link.
  • Images of you. AI photos of yourself and carousels on every plan. Postel's carousels start on Pro.
  • A German app. Scripe's app switches between English and German. Postel's app is in English, though it writes German posts.
  • Developers. A REST API, webhooks, Zapier and n8n. Postel has an MCP server and no public API.

How to switch from Scripe to Postel

  1. Check your renewal date. Scripe lets you cancel any time before your next billing cycle, so note when a yearly plan renews.
  2. Start the trial. Pick Starter or Pro on postel.app; the first 7 days cost $1.
  3. Connect your accounts. Add X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon in Settings > Channels. LinkedIn connections last 60 days; Postel emails you before yours runs out, and reconnecting takes one click.
  4. Teach Postel your voice. Add your public LinkedIn profile or your X account, then save your topics, product details and opinions in the knowledge base.
  5. Move your queue. Put your upcoming posts into Postel's CSV template and import them from Calendar > menu > Import CSV (up to 500 posts, with dates).
  6. Swap the MCP server. Add Postel from Claude's connector directory, or point your MCP client at https://www.postel.app/api/mcp.

What is the best Scripe alternative?

For one person posting on LinkedIn and X who wants drafts in their own voice, Postel. For LinkedIn growth and lead tools, Taplio. For a LinkedIn-only team with approvals, Supergrow. If you run many profiles for a B2B team, staying on Scripe makes more sense.

How much does Scripe cost?

As of October 30, 2026, Scripe is €69 a month for Solo, €99 for Advanced and €149 for Business, or €55, €79 and €119 a month billed yearly, all before VAT. Advanced and Business add €45 a month for each extra profile, and Enterprise is available on request.

Is Scripe free?

Scripe has no free plan to sign up for. Its free trial needs a credit card, and a workspace without a paid plan has its AI features locked.

Is Postel cheaper than Scripe?

For one person and one LinkedIn profile, yes. Scripe Solo is €69 a month, or €55 a month billed yearly (€660 a year), before VAT. Postel Starter is $29 a month, or $19 billed yearly ($228 a year), and Pro, which writes next week's posts for you, is $49, or $29 billed yearly ($348 a year). For a team with several profiles, Scripe is built for the job and often the better buy.

Does Scripe post to X?

Scripe calls itself "LinkedIn-first today, by design", and its product pages and docs list no other network to publish to. Postel publishes to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon.

Does Scripe have an MCP server?

Yes. Scripe has an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients, with read-only or full access. Through it, an assistant can plan a period and have Scripe draft the posts. Postel is listed in Claude's connector directory: its generate-post tool drafts posts in your voice from your own posts and knowledge base, and create-posts saves up to 25 posts in one call. Other clients connect with https://www.postel.app/api/mcp; see the LinkedIn MCP server page.

Does Postel write in German?

Yes. Describe your idea in German and Postel drafts the post in German. The app itself is in English. Read this comparison in German.
