I am developing two apps simultaneously. One is Vibe Coded and other is not. Vibe coded app was done start to finish in 24 hours (submitted for review). Hand-coded + AI assisted (AI used as a reference like Google) I was able to complete a single feature in 24 hours. Both…

More adventures in server land: I used certbot to create an HTTPs certificate, nobody else knew about the domain, and within minutes, ~8 scanner bots had loaded the page, coming from Google Cloud and AWS... Scanners were running headless chrome and one faked being an iPhone.

I built a notes app inspired by the 80s, when software felt simple and snappy. It launches in 2.6ms. I've taken notes for 10+ years, first in VS Code, then Obsidian. Sometimes I just want to jot down a thought and get back to work. Here's Noted: 🧵

How we count

Postel's library follows thousands of individual creators on X: founders, builders, writers and other people posting as themselves. Brands, news and fan accounts, politicians and aggregators are kept out. This page reads their original English posts from Oct 26 – Nov 1, 2026, leaving out replies and reposts.

A post counts as viral when it gets at least 3 times its creator's usual views and 10,000 views in all. A creator's usual is the median views of their posts over the 60 days before the period ended, leaving out posts younger than three days. Comparing each post with its own creator means a big account's ordinary post doesn't count, and a small account's unusually big post does.

A model then reads every viral post, sorts it into a topic by what it's about, and leaves out politics, gossip, news about other people, health claims, get-rich pitches, giveaways and anything else this page shouldn't feature. A second, stricter model approves each post before it's shown with its creator's name. The list ranks the approved posts by how far each beat its creator's usual, one post per creator. Openings are sorted by the plain rules in the table.

Every post links to the original on X. Creators: if you'd rather your post weren't on this page, send its link through the contact form and it comes off within a few days.

Questions

What developer posts are going viral on X right now?

From Oct 26 – Nov 1, 2026, 30 developer posts from 28 creators in Postel's library went viral (each got at least 3 times its creator's usual views and 10,000 views in all) and passed its content check. The 10 that beat their creator's usual by the most are on this page, with a link to each on X.

What do viral developer posts have in common?

Of the 30 developer posts that went viral on X in the week of October 26 to November 1, 2026 and passed Postel's content check, 17% were lists and 50% had a photo or video. The median one was 184 characters long, and the biggest, by @jahirsheikh8, got 1,421 times its creator's usual views.

How does Postel decide a post went viral?

A post counts as viral when it gets at least 3 times its creator's usual views and 10,000 views in all. A creator's usual is the median views of their posts over the 60 days before that week ended (leaving out the last three days). The topic comes from what the post is about, not from who wrote it.

How often is this page updated?

Every Tuesday. It covers the last full week (Monday to Sunday), so a topic has enough posts to show what's working.

I'm on this list. Can I have my post removed?

Yes. Send the post's link through the contact form at postel.app/contact and it comes off this page and every page like it within a few days.
