The Best OpenClaw Skills for Creators and Marketers
The best OpenClaw skills for creators and marketers are Postiz for scheduling to almost every network, Postel for posts written in your own voice from what's working in your niche, and the x-search skill for researching X, plus skills for SEO, copywriting, images and video. Skip skills that post by driving your logged-in browser: they break when the site changes, and LinkedIn's terms don't allow automated access.

A skill is a set of instructions, so "what it needs" is what it calls: the service, key or command-line tool it expects to find.
Posting and scheduling
Postiz
The most-downloaded multi-network scheduling skill on ClawHub. It drives the postiz command-line tool to schedule posts and chat messages to 28+ channels, from X, LinkedIn and LinkedIn Pages to Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Mastodon and Bluesky. You need a Postiz account (or your own Postiz server) and set POSTIZ_API_KEY and POSTIZ_API_URL. Postiz schedules what your agent writes; it doesn't write in your voice.
Install it if you post to many networks, or want to host the scheduler yourself.
Postel
Our skill, so weigh this section accordingly. It calls Postel's REST API with curl and your POSTEL_API_KEY. Your agent can search a library of posts that did well in your niche, have Postel write your version in the voice it learned from your own posts, and save, schedule or publish it to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon. On LinkedIn it posts to your personal LinkedIn profile. On YouTube and TikTok, the agent saves the video post as a draft, and you choose the settings those networks ask for on every post, such as title and privacy, in Postel's editor before it's scheduled. TikTok posts go out as Only me from a private account until TikTok finishes reviewing Postel.
It was published on November 4, 2026, so it has no download history yet. ClawHub's audit passed. One of its scanners marked it "caution" for sending data to an outside service and for a line telling the agent never to ask for the API key in the chat; ClawHub's review cleared both.
Install it if you want the agent to write posts that sound like you, not only schedule them. Saving drafts works without a paid plan; scheduling and publishing need one: $1 for 7 days, then from $29 a month. Cancel anytime. If your OpenClaw runs MCP servers, the MCP setup gives the agent the same tools with OAuth instead of a key.
Typefully and Buffer
- typefully-social-media creates and schedules drafts in Typefully for X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon. It needs
TYPEFULLY_API_KEY. - buffer-social creates, queues and schedules posts on your Buffer profiles from the terminal. It needs
BUFFER_API_KEY. Another Buffer skill, buffer-api, goes through Maton's OAuth service instead of a key.
Install one if you already plan your posts in that app.
Bluesky
The bluesky skill uses the bsky command-line tool and a Bluesky app password, which you create in Bluesky's settings. It posts, reads and searches Bluesky only.
Research, writing and media
- x-search searches X through xAI's API, so it needs an
XAI_API_KEY. It's the most-starred skill in this list. Use it to see what people say about a topic before you write. - seo covers audits, keyword research and technical fixes, with no key needed.
- copywriting writes landing pages, ads and other marketing copy. The same skill on skills.sh has far more installs than its ClawHub copy.
- image-generation writes prompts for and calls GPT Image, Gemini, FLUX and other models, with that provider's API key.
- ai-video-generation makes videos with Veo, Seedance and 40+ other models through inference.sh's
infshcommand-line tool and account. - newsletter and competitor-research are instruction-only skills for planning issues and sizing up competitors.
Posting skills to skip
Some popular posting skills don't use an API. They drive a real browser signed in to your account:
- x-post-automation finds trends on X, writes a post and publishes it through your Chrome profile on x.com.
- linkedin-post-openclaw-browser posts to LinkedIn by browser automation after you approve.
- twitterbrowserpost is listed as an X posting skill, but the skill inside watches one X profile in a browser and reposts it.
Browser automation breaks when the site's layout changes, and LinkedIn's User Agreement doesn't allow bots or automated access to its site. A skill that posts through an API, such as Postiz, Postel, Typefully or Buffer, avoids both problems.
How to install a skill
From your OpenClaw workspace, install by owner and name:
openclaw skills install @nevo-david/postiz
Skills go into the workspace's skills folder. Add --global to install for every workspace, or --agent <id> for one agent. Most skills need a key in the environment your OpenClaw Gateway starts with, such as POSTIZ_API_KEY or POSTEL_API_KEY. Source: OpenClaw's skills CLI.
To install Postel's skill:
openclaw skills install @robinsadeghpour/postel
Check a skill before you install it
A skill runs with your agent's access, so read its SKILL.md first. ClawHub runs every upload through its own audits (SkillSpector, Tencent's A.I.G scanner and a risk review) and shows the result on the skill's page. A "Review" result isn't a verdict: ClawHub says a publishing skill can show Review with Medium risk and still be safe. Look for three things:
- What it sends where. A posting skill has to send your text to a service; it shouldn't send anything else.
- Which keys it asks for, and whether they're for the service it names.
- Whether the listing matches the skill. If the description and the
SKILL.mddescribe different things, skip it.

Frequently asked questions
Updated Nov 4, 2026.
What are the best OpenClaw skills for marketing?
For posting, Postiz (most networks) or Postel (written in your voice). For research and content, the x-search skill for X, plus the seo, copywriting, image-generation and ai-video-generation skills. Pick the posting skill for the scheduler you already use, and skip ones that post through your logged-in browser.
Is there an OpenClaw skill that posts to LinkedIn?
Yes. Postiz, Postel, Typefully and Buffer all post to LinkedIn through LinkedIn's API. Avoid skills that post by browser automation, which LinkedIn's terms don't allow.
Is there an OpenClaw skill that posts to X?
Yes. Postiz, Postel, Typefully and Buffer post to X without your own X developer account. x-search reads X through xAI's API but doesn't post.
Are ClawHub skills safe?
ClawHub audits every upload and shows the result on the skill's page, but a skill still runs with your agent's access. Read the SKILL.md, check which keys and services it uses, and prefer skills that call an API over ones that drive your browser.
What's the difference between a skill and an MCP server in OpenClaw?
A skill is instructions, sometimes with scripts, that tell the agent how to do a job; it often calls a command-line tool or an API with your key. An MCP server gives the agent tools over a connection, with its own sign-in. Postel offers both: the ClawHub skill, and an MCP server for OpenClaw.
