What are UTM parameters?

Which UTM fields are required?

While you really only need three UTM parameters for effective tracking, our tool requires the URL, Campaign Name, Medium, and Source fields. The Content, Term, and Campaign ID fields are optional but can help you track specific pieces of content or ad creatives.

Can I use this for X (Twitter)?

Yes! You can use UTM parameters for X (Twitter) and any other social media platform. Simply set your Medium to 'social' and your Source to 'twitter' or 'x' when creating your campaign URL.

What if my URL already has query parameters?

No problem! Our UTM builder automatically detects existing query parameters and appends the UTM parameters using the correct separator (&). Your existing parameters will remain intact.
